  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (5 oz) spicy tuna
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, shredded
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steam for another 10 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Stir this mixture into the cooked rice.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine spicy tuna, cream cheese, crab meat, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  6. Spread the rice in a baking dish. Layer the tuna and crab mixture over the rice.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella and nori.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, adjust sriracha to taste.
  • Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger on the side for an authentic experience.
