This Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken is an easy family favorite that is both delicious and simple to prepare.

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. When done, remove chicken from the cooker and set aside.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the remaining sauce in the cooker. Cook on high for 10 minutes to thicken.
  6. Return chicken to the slow cooker and coat with the sauce before serving.
