- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Pour over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 4 hours.
- When done, remove chicken from the cooker and set aside.
- Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the remaining sauce in the cooker. Cook on high for 10 minutes to thicken.
- Return chicken to the slow cooker and coat with the sauce before serving.
