  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit until frothy.
  3. Mix the yeast mixture with the dry ingredients, then add eggs and butter.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread raspberry jam and fresh raspberries.
  7. Roll the dough into a loaf shape and place in a loaf pan.
  8. Allow to rise again until puffy.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter loaf, increase the sugar by 2 tablespoons.
  • Try using frozen raspberries if fresh ones are unavailable.
