Caramelised Soy Chicken in Garlic Ginger Broth with Rice: An Incredible Comfort Meal

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a pot over medium heat and add marinated chicken. Sear until golden brown.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
